Does water have a taste?

Taste is a relative thing. For humans pure water (liquid H2O) does NOT have a taste. It will only give a warm/cold feeling.
This is because water does not react to any of our taste buds.
Now this isn't true for all animals. Some animals, like dogs, have taste buds that can be used to 'taste' water.
Most water however isn't pure and thus our human taste buds can 'taste' water.
So, yes and no then :)
