If you cut yourself on a tattoo what colour would the scar be?

There are too many entries on google about "scar tattoos" and "tattooing over scars" and "does tattoo removal leave a scar?" for me to find a specific answer, however, scar tissue is formed by new skin cells and connective tissue, so it should be skin coloured.

Professor Threepwood's answer:
For me personally it would be green. I had a Kryptonite blood transfusion back in the 80's.
I'll be damned if Superman ever does that to me again!

What's the most amount of weight a person could gain in a day?

themedicalquestions.com says:

Any weight gained over a 24 hr period is nothing more than water that is retained or the actual weight of the food items that were ingested. The body does not increase body fat at any measurable rate in such a short period of time. Weight (fat gain) occurs when there is a caloric excess over an extended period of time.

Professor Threepwood says:

It totally depends on how smashed you are. Once I ate a whole munchy box to myself on the way home from the pub.
That cost me £4.99.
The taxi home cost me £7.40.
Got a rollicking from the wife when I got in, had to sleep on the couch and lost £1.21 down the back of the bloody thing!

All in I lost 13.60 pounds.

I feel fit as f...

Is a cat's day shorter than a human day?

This question stumped Google.
The answer to this question is a day is a day no matter what species you are.
The answer to the question, is a cat's daily cycle shorter than a human daily cycle? is.
Cats are mainly diurnal meaning they're awake during the day. Cats can sleep and wake frequently throughout a 24 hour period, they don't call it a cat nap for nothing.
So, no, a cat's daily cycle is not shorter than a humans.

Professor Threepwood's answer:
When I was going out to the shop for some refreshments I locked a cat in the coal cellar.
I awoke that evening in the park and some scally had pissed in my trousers!
When I got back home I let the cat out. I bet that was a long day for him!
It wasn't even my cat!

Does the Sun go around the Earth

According to wiki.answers.com:
The Earth goes around the Sun. Pretty simple then.

Professor Threepwood's answer:
I had a son once.

Is the moon a planet?

According to wiki.answers.com:
While the moon is a large orbiting body, it is not technically considered a "planet". Planets orbit stars/suns. Both moons and planets are satellites. The Moon is a satellite of the Earth. The Earth is a satellite of the the Sun. Since Pluto has been demoted from a planet to a dwarf planet, we now have 8 planets in our solar system and a bunch of dwarf planets. "Most planets have their own moon or set of moons.

Professor Threepwood says:
Yes old boy it certainly is. It's the one you're living on. You filthy oik! Problem?

Does food rhyme with hood?

According to rhyming dictionary website rhymezone.com:
No, it doesn't. However they say that it does rhyme with feud, hued, nude, skewed, spewed, stewed, viewed and cued. So do we really want to believe them?

Professor Threepwood's answer:
I once made this mistake on the way home from the club and came out of the kebab shop with quality mutton on my head while munching on a cotton head warmer.
Was tastier than I expected and the protein done wonders for my hair.

Who came up with time?

Babylonians were responsible for refining the accurate measurement and description of time, and probably for the 12 month, 24 hour day, 60 minute, 60 second standard. It is developed from astronomy - a year is (approximately) 12 moon cycles (mo(o)nths). 12 and 60 are useful numbers for quick calculation - 12 gives a whole number as an answer if it is divided by 2, 3, or 4 - so half a day, a third of a day or a quarter of a day are easily counted. 60 is 5 x 12, so dividing an hour into 60 minutes gives easily countable periods of time - 5 mins is one twentieth of an hour - quarter of an hour is 15 mins - etc.

Professor Threepwood's answer:
Contrary to popular belief time wasn't invented until the early 2000's when a young Latino chap asked an English gent "what time is it?".
The correct response apparently is "Chico time".

Why can't we feel the earth move?

According to answers.yahoo.com:
The earth moves very fast. It spins at a speed of about 1,000 miles per hour at the equator. We do not feel this motion because these speeds are constant. The spinning speed of Earth stays the same so we do not feel any acceleration or deceleration. You can only feel motion if your speed changes. For example, if you are in a car which is moving at a constant speed on a smooth surface, you will not feel much motion. However, when the car accelerates or when the brakes are applied, you do feel motion.

Professor Threepwood's answer:
You're more than likely in the wrong hole, reverse a little smidge, re-adjust your position and do it better.

Can you choke on water?

I've done some research and it depends on what you mean by choke. While water can not get stuck in your throat like the way food can, if it goes down the "wrong hole" it will cause you to cough it back up.

Professor Threepwood's answer:
I had to refer this to my good friend and drinking partner Chuck Norris, as I've never drank water.
It turns out other people can choke on water, not Chuck though, water chokes on him.

Does water have a taste?

wiki.answers says:
Taste is a relative thing. For humans pure water (liquid H2O) does NOT have a taste. It will only give a warm/cold feeling.
This is because water does not react to any of our taste buds.
Now this isn't true for all animals. Some animals, like dogs, have taste buds that can be used to 'taste' water.
Most water however isn't pure and thus our human taste buds can 'taste' water.

So, yes and no then :)

Professor Threepwood's answer:
Of course it does!
This was one I learned in my curious younger days at St Bartholomew's boarding school for wayward boys.
It was a warm day after lacrosse practice and all the chaps were in the shower block.
A strapping young third year caught my eye and one thing led to another. I got a mouthful of a warm, creamy but salty, substa...
Wait, did you say water?
